WE FOUND THE GARDEN OF EDEN

This little cafe kept its menu simple, offering, side by side, Nasi Ulam and European dishes as delightful as rosemary chicken. The ice-cream, the combava flavoured madeleines are home made as are the scones and the organic bread.
We wanted to share Cy’s place with you for its garden. You will have to find your way between the branches and foliage cascading down… Between one and two hundred edible plants grow here. Suffering from a bad cough? Pick some Indian borage. Try some Ulam Raja too, particularly surprising in a dish: it tastes like mango. Or Oxalis, for its blackcurrant notes.
Wandering endlessly through this garden of Eden offers a wonderful insight into local cuisine. Use banana or pandan leaves to cook the rice in, for example. Indeed, returning to such simple, tasty ingredients will add an unexpected twist to your dishes. Why not join one of Cy’s workshop to grow your own edible plants and lean, piano but sano, towards a more sustainable lifestyle?
