50 EXPAT WOMEN IN YOUR KITCHEN

A weary sigh. Once more, the dreaded “What are we eating tonight?” question has been asked. Looking at the inside of the fridge, you realise inspiration has run dry…
Have you heard of mirza ghassemi, a Persian dish made with aubergine? We see you are intrigued. Would you like to discover new cuisines? Magdalena will take you to Poland with her goulash, Lynne will make you taste a South-African dish with her bobotie. Did you fancy a tandoori curry instead? Kamini has the perfect recipe for you, quite a special one: her mother’s.
Melinda is from the Philippines, Pernille from Denmark. They used to be neighbours. Before Pernille moved to Houston, they would meet over home cooked dishes for the evening meal, exchange recipes. This grew into a delicious project, writing their secrets in a book. Not just them: 50 women shared their recipes, sprinkling them with a “je ne sais quoi“ that gives them an authentic touch.
Nothing complicated here: the preparation is explained in a few lines but, what a journey around the world this is, flavour wise!
